First Aid at Work Requalification Course – Overview
Workplace First Aiders must requalify every three years in order to keep their skills up to date and maintain their qualification. The First Aid at work requalification training course updates the First Aid skills of those who need to renew their First Aid at work certificate. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) strongly recommends that you requalify within a month of your certificate expiring.

| Assessment |
The course Instructor is responsible for determining whether delegates pass or fail based on practical and oral assessment throughout the course, i.e. by observation and oral questioning, as well as the completion of a multiple-choice question paper at the end of the course. The Instructor will only award a pass if they believe that delegates have displayed the requisite understanding and competencies at the end of each session throughout the course and successfully completed the question paper. |
This course covers the contents of the three-day First Aid at Work course in two days. Delegates will requalify for the three-day course.
The syllabus for this course is as specified by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and is fully compliant with The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.
First Aid at Work Requalification Course – Location + Duration
This course can be run in-house, or at a location of your choice for up to 12 delegates.
The HSE require at least 12 training contact hours for this course, which can be delivered in 2 days, back-to-back, or broken down into individual days/evenings to suit you.
Delegates must attend all sessions to be eligible for assessment, which is done by continuous observation and questioning during the course.
Who Should Attend?
This course is for people wishing to renew a valid First Aid at Work certificate, in order to continue to act as a workplace First Aider.
Qualification
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Level 3 (RQF) First Aid at Work Certificate, which is valid for three years. This course is Regulated by Ofqual under their Regulated Quality Framework (RQF) and accredited by the FAA.
