Paediatric First Aid Course Overview
The Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid qualification is accredited and regulated and provides first aid training specifically for those delegates who would need to be able to administer First Aid to infants under the age of 1 and children from the age of 1 up to the onset of puberty.
The Paediatric First Aid course focuses on emergency scenarios that face those looking after young children and infants, including day nurseries, private nursery schools, pre-schools, before and after school clubs for children in the early years age group, childminders and carers of children at home. It covers everything you need to know on helping a sick, injured or ill child, prior to the arrival of the emergency services.
This Paediatric First Aid qualification fulfils the requirements of the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as issued by the department for Education and Skills Foundation stage relating to Early Years childcare.
